There's a couple of good books that talk about the lives of millionaires (the ones who work hard at obtaining wealth through being frugal): "The Millionaire Next Door" and "The Millionaire Mind," both by Thomas Stanley. You would enjoy them. They talk about how true millionaires have no desire to show off their status and are not particularly extraordinary.
